GRANBY, Mass., Dec. 27, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The MacDuffie School, a 120-year-old boarding and day school nestled in the heart of western Massachusetts, has formally been acquired by International EC LLC. The Massachusetts Attorney General approved the purchase transaction on December 23, 2010.

The newly acquired entity will retain its name and move to a renovated, expansive campus in Granby, Massachusetts, beginning in September 2011. Led by newly appointed Headmaster Brian Chatterley, the school will have a renewed focus on its international student base while showcasing renovated dormitories, advanced teaching technology, upgraded facilities and seasoned leadership.
