THE CHALLENGE: The only 2 ways for my Rottie and Pit Bull to enter/exit the house is through the kitchen (short way) or through the garage and up the hill (long way). But the trail to the house is covered in dirt and mud.

It's snowing, low temps and ice, but the dogs need to get out and I want to stay clean & warm. So the SHORTEST way seemed like a good idea at first. But with time, this will cause damage to my floors and I'll have an attitude. Taking the time to go the EXTRA distance, weather the STORM ultimately honors my home, my family and my state of PEACE.

LESSON: Sometimes what appears to be the LONG way is actually a step in the right direction. When we want a QUICK FIX (Shortcut), we end up doing more work, wasting valuable energy / money and going in circles. ~ Camille James
